What is Talent Management?
Talent Management, often times referred to as Human Capital Management, is the process recruiting, managing, assessing, developing and maintaining an organization’s most important resource—it’s people!
Talent Management processes are typically found in numerous parts of an organization. Thus, many organizations struggle align their talent management under one cohesive strategy. It may be a considerable challenge to make this happen.
Selecting the right Employee Performance Management (EPM) system
Abundant evidence reported by such large consulting firms as Hewitt, Watson Wyatt, and Towers Perrin demonstrates that quality employee performance management significantly raises productivity, profitability, employee engagement, and company valuation. At the same time, analysts caution that not all EPM software investments prove successful. Real return on investment (ROI) follows when your best and poorest performers can be accurately differentiated and given the appropriate developmental opportunities and training, when you can align employee performance goals with company strategy, and when you can use performance data to strategically plan talent resources for the future. For those reasons, a performance management system must meet some key criteria to measurably improve your organization's performance.

The Emergence of Talent Management - An Old Idea Gets New Life
And it’s an idea that didn’t even originate in this decade.
Why the renewed interest? Two reasons: more technology vendors are pro- claiming they can automate the entire process (either through integration of technologies or all-in-one offerings), and more companies are ready to embrace it. If talent management is going to take off this time, it’s the second reason-corporate receptivity-that will be the catalyst.

The Value of a Learning Management Compliance Solution
Compliance requirements can originate in many different places from a variety of triggers: Federal and state regulatory agencies can impose regulations on organizations; internally driven initiatives can take many forms and can impact the entire organization; and external organizations can mandate processes and procedures that must be followed. Adding to the burden, the management of compliance requirements can be expensive and time consuming. While compliance can be tracked manually, manual tracking is often time consuming and error prone. Being out of compliance can be very expensive due to fines and lawsuits. This whitepaper explains how a Learning Management Compliance Solution can help manage an organization’s compliance requirements.
